In this workshop, we will explore the principles of falling, pulling, and pushing as entry points into contact improvisation. Beginning with solo and pair exercises, participants will investigate how different body parts can fall into the floor, releasing weight and catching themselves in return.
We will then work in pairs through playful games to deepen the understanding of our weight in relation to movement, the floor, and another person. From there, we will explore partnering dynamics of pulling and pushing, both with each other and in dialogue with the ground. The session will build toward partnering lifts, offering an experience of shared balance, trust, and playfulness.
This workshop will be in English language and is for all levels of experience in CI
